How does Ranoz work?
Ranoz let's you share files for free and anonymously to your community, securely designed for large scale. We offer the fastest upload and download speeds available on the Internet.
Is there a limit to the file size I can upload?
Yes, you can upload files up to 20 GB in size and 4.99 GB (currently) for API users. There is no limit on the number of files you can upload. For customized requirements, please contact the sales team.
How do I upload a file?
To upload a file, select 'Upload' on the homepage. Choose your file (up to 20 GB), and it will be processed and uploaded quickly.
Are there any download limitations for users?
No, every user enjoys maximum download speed with no bandwidth limits. You can download without any restrictions.
How long are my files stored?
Files are stored indefinitely unless they remain inactive for 30 days or violate our terms of service. This ensures your files are safe and available when you need them. So there is also enough time if you upload files but do not share them directly. For customized requirements, please contact the sales team.
Are there any restrictions on the types of files I can upload?
We do not currently support video files. Otherwise you can upload any kind of file as long as it does not violate our terms of service.
Is my upload activity anonymous?
Yes, Ranoz prioritizes your privacy. You can upload and share files completely anonymously, keeping your data secure. The only personal information that is saved in the database for anonymous uploads is a hashed version of the uploader IP address in order to assign files when an account is created.
Does Ranoz support API or remote upload?
Yes, we offer API and remote upload options. You can use services like ZoomUploader or our API. For remote upload select 'Other options' on the homepage
Can my files be found in search engine results?
No, we do not index links and files. The only way to find and download a file is via the unique link you share.
How is this financed?
First of all, we get bandwidth free forever so the site can handle a lot of traffic. The team is doing everything possible to offer these faster than average upload/download speeds and is still making a profit for their work through advertising (banner / one popup), which we will soon place as soon as the right provider has been found. As mentioned, we also delete inactive files after some time, because our service is not meant for long-term backups. We cannot run out of funds and therefore files are safe with us in the long term.
